RE: New Montana - zero problems

Congrats on the new Montana. You can find a lot of info here and on the Montana owners forum.
We did join that forum. However there sure is a lot more action here. I can't get enough of this place.I joined it too and asked a couple of questions. All I got was ignored! I figured I am not one of the chosen few.

RE: Best portable waste tanks?

Check PPL and J.C. Whitney. They often have the 32 gallon on sale for $99. Sometimes with free shipping. Check their site weekly if you have time to wait.:h $99?...I doubt it. Maybe $199.

RE: Kingpin Tripod

Thanks Jeff. Actually neither of the two are considerations for me. I live in my 5er so I don't have to worry about moving/storing the tripod often. I currently live on 180 acres so parking is not a problem but I do get you point. It's usually just me and the dog(9 lbs) in here but when he walks/hops around I can feel the 5er move. It amazes me how 9 lbs. can shake a 13,000lb 5er. It's not a bunch of movement but enough to irritate me.
Anyone else?
I recenty installed a set of Ultra-Fab Eliminators which are almost identical to the JT Strong arms and they made a night and day difference. Feels like we are in the house now. Cost was $275 and it tookk me all day to install, but I like doing projects like that. It was money well spent IMO.
Did a quick search on Ultra Fab Eliminators and found nothing. where did you get them?
ThanksI just purchased UF Eliminators from DYERSONLINE.COM for $224.00. In the process of installing now and looks very promising!

OOOOhhhhhhh...Lavender Vanilla - I think Ill leave my toilet bowl open :)
Always nice to see posts from Walmart - saves money. Thanks, RC.Actually, you have to watch Wal-Mart. Not always the best buy there! Example: A few years ago a 10 lb bag of grass seed $17 and 2 blocks away at local hardware/farm supply got a 50 lb bag for same price. Also bought identical name brand TV for $100 less at Lowe's.

And this is only happening in Tennessee:h Yeah, everybody knows we all carry guns and knives and are definitely a bunch of rowdies.

RE: RV Show Winner

We thought we too had "won" a home security system. What we got was some GE window and door sensors, and a central monitoring contoller that we set up ourselves and a surprise.... a required two year contract with a monitoring service located in Texas at $30.00 per month. Anyone can get this "free" security system if you want to pay for it over a couple of years through the required 2-year contract. One of the sensors malfunctioned when we were home one night for no apparent reason (it scared the heck out of us and oh how our dog loved that loud siren) and twice while we were away to the annoyance of the local police department that responded to each occurrence to find nothing. Good luck. That's why I don't believe in "Free Lunches"! :E

RE: Progressive Insurance

My Progressive policy is up for renewal in a few days and I fully plan on doing so. Just got the bill and is same price as last year. Have had no claims so far, but have complete confidence if I do there will be no problems with them.

Congratulations! We love our 3400RL. Only 3 very minor "issues" and were taken care of by dealer/Keystone in short order and to our complete satisfaction. :B

Spend many thousands of hard-earned dollars for a nice RV and have a concern over spending less than 10 bucks for freeze protection? :h

RE: Leave hitch attached to camper, any problems.

Putting it back is more work than unhitching and leaving it attached.
?????????????
But the whole idea is that he doesn't want the hitch in the bed. He doesn't want to 'leave it attached'.
?????????????Don't you think that JUST MAYBE someday he might want to put it back in and tow his fiver? :S

RE: 5er's With King Size Bed

Our Montana has a king size and we have enough room except between the bed and the end closet doors. Plan to upgrade to sleep number soon and will change to queen at that time. We are already used to a queen size anyway and would rather have the additional usable floor space.

RE: Sleep Number Bed from Campingworld.

We have a sleep number bed and like it. I'd suggest taking a look at the sleep better bed. It's built like a sleep number only better and less expensive. (They don't have to pay Lindsey wagner or Paul Harvey) :).I took a look just now at Sleep Better Bed and RV short queen is $1,599.00! Less than Sleep Number? Don't think so. :R
